Sample even more flavor and get much-needed retail therapy by visiting Denver's 16th Street Mall. This outdoor mall is a one-mile pedestrian-friendly stretch of shops with an eclectic range of restaurants, stores, and other sites and venues. There are 42 different outdoor cafes along 16th Street Mall, making it the best place to grab a bite to eat and people watch. Continue through 16th Street, and it will merge into a pedestrian walkway that connects you to Commons Mall downtown.
 
Make your favorite meal to go, or grab take-out, and head over to Washington Park where you can enjoy the lush greenery. This park features garden grounds, walking and biking trails, and plenty of green space to kick back and enjoy a picnic.
